A work hath Christ for thee to do:
He bore the Cross, he laboured too.
He marks thine every deed and word:
Be true this day to Christ thy Lord.

A way hath Christ for thee to go,
The royal way he trod below:
Fear not, for he is at thy side,
Thy heart to cheer, thy steps to guide.

Then bravely forth his praise to tell,
With song on lip, to serve him well.
